CPI has recieved the the West Berkshire Training Consortium Certificate of Excellence. Below is the announcement from their site
Congratulations to Compressor Products International who have been awarded the West Berkshire Training Consortium ‘Certificate of Excellence for 2011. In 2010 Compressor Products International achieved the Certificate of Merit and it is testament to their excellent training ethos that they have now attained the highest accolade that an employer can receive in the Investment in Training Awards.
Nigel Brookes the Engineering & Production Manager of Compressor products said “It is a fantastic feeling to achieve the Certificate of Excellence because we know that very few employers reach this level of success. We have always believed in Apprenticeships because they are ideal for the engineering industry and particularly precision engineering firms like us. We have a first class relationship with WBTC and we like to work with them to find new Apprentices from the local community. WBTC co-ordinate the recruitment and the day release training and basically make it easy for us to run Apprenticeships. With WBTC taking the strain we can focus on mentoring our Apprenticeships on the shop floor and making them productive. Now that we have achieved the Certificate of Excellence we will keep working hard to retain it.”
Chris Irwin said “Apprenticeship scheme provided by West Berkshire Training Consortium is not only a great opportunity for school leavers but also for employers. Compressor Products has not only been able to maintain the skill levels across its facility but in many areas have improved them. This is due to the commitment and support given to us and the apprentices by West Berkshire Training Consortium. Thank you.”
Rachel Eaves of WBTC said “Compressor Products International is an ideal employer because they put so much effort and care into Apprentices and their workforce as a whole. I am delighted to see them achieve our highest award and I know that they are motivated to keep it.”
